The Time Of The Singing Of the Birds Has Come!

Spring is finally here!

Went out to water my little orchard today and to my surprise the cherry and pear trees have leafed out and my apples and peaches are flowering.  The smell of spring is in the air and my spirit is lifted!  I always love spring and the promise of new life spring out of seemingly dead things.

Lots of work to do in the garden this weekend...finish planting my onion sets, build a new raised bed and construct a fence to keep the chickens out of the cabbages--they have eaten them all to the ground one too many times!
