The Year Behind and The Year Ahead!

One of my favorite things about a New Year is the ability to look back over the previous year
and reflect on what did and didn't work and bring that wisdom into the new year.
And that being said, let's look back at the past year on the Boho Farm and some
of the "hits" and some of the "misses".

I organized our farm pantry and made my own labels out of chalkboard paint for my
bulk items.  This has really worked out well, cutting down on packaging and plastics.
I am currently working on some adjustments to my staple pantry items and
will be posting a checklist this month.  This was a hit!

Our First Annual Brunch at the Coop was a huge success. Tickets sold out in 4 days!
We are going to do another this February 11, 10-1pm and includes a farm tour,
fruit tree planting demo, brunch and farm stand.  Purchase tickets here.

Our First Annual Farmers/Flea Market was amazing
with over 700 people coming to our little urban farm.
We will be doing it again Saturday, March 24, 8am to 1pm
We have a few vendor spots left, so if you are interested email us.
Put moulding in my hallway and painted...
I have only wanted to do this for the past 5 years.  Hit!!
The blog and I received a makeover from my friends Diana Elizabeth Photography

Had a great pick your own fruit and Peach and Apricot Jam making class.
Will do this again, Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 10-11:30am. Mark your calendars!

We LOVED video blogging with Chow Bella and
plan to do more video blogging this year.

We had a real life garden disaster this fall and because of this,
we will not garden from mid June till mid September.  The amount of money and work we spent
on water is not sustainable, so we will let our beds rest and go to the farmers market to get
what we need.  big miss but we learned!

Our Tribute to Alice Waters and to 40 years of Chez Panisse was dreamy!
We will be doing another farm to table dinner this spring.

We have been remodeling our kitchen since this summer and I am pleased to
announce that we are finally finished...well except for the tile back splash.
I'll be posting completed photos next week.
This is a huge hit!  Think of all we can
cook now...yum.

We accomplish so much this year in so many ways and I
look forward to this new year and all it has in store for our
little urban farm.

Are you excited about starting the new year with a clean
slate and adventures yet to be realized?

Me too!

It is going to be a great year!
