A Fresh Summer Look
It all started when the Phoenix New Times contacted me about doing a story on my perfect food day (article here) and they asked for a photo. I thought to myself, "Well, I could use the one from our family Christmas pictures...only part of my husbands head would be in it...". See, I don't have any pictures of myself...I have tons of pictures of my kids and us all together as a family but not me alone. Then during our big Flea/Farmers Market I saw my friend Diana and explained to her my predicament and she immediately told me she would take care of it. See, Diana is none other than Diana Jung of Diana Elizabeth Photography, an amazing photographer! Here is her working her magic...she takes everyday stuff and takes it to a completely new place.

I asked her to take some of these images and make a fresh spring/summer blog
header for me...this is where my new header comes from...
she did a beautiful job!
My new picture...I was feeling a little like we were doing a "Glamour Shot" à la 1980's...
I remember getting me first job out of college and I was surprised by all the husbands in our
office having these hideous things on their desk.
BUT
Diana knew that I can't just smile and look pretty...I am not the model type... and this is where her art took over...she tells me to get a chicken, dig in some dirt, work with your plants.
She tells me " people look beautiful when they are doing what they love."
AND
that is when the magic happened. She was able to capture me doing what I love,
which is working the land and tending my flock.
Thank you Di for capture my inner BOHO spirit! You truly have a gift.
Thank you for sharing it with me!

Thank you also to my dear friend Mariana, a national Makeup Artist with Bobbi Brown, for making me
look so put together and cleaned up. You do beautiful work!
Note:
If you see me at the Fresh and Easy with dirty knees, muddy crocs and my hair in a pony, say "hi" because it is me...that is just my usual look. :)
